We are extremely excited to welcome Anterre, an exquisite new house perched on Highclife’s most elevated position, offering unparalleled sea views across to Stepper Point and the Camel Estuary.
Anterre is a special house, and holds a deep connection with the land upon which it is built. Before Highcliffe existed, our family were organic farmers here and we spent many hours working in the fields, our hands in the soil. ‘Terre’ meaning 'earth' in French, is a nod to the past, and a connection we hope you feel when staying here.
Spanning 2.5 floors, the house has been meticulously designed to ensure you will never want to leave. Luxurious soft furnishings, warm tactile finishes, and large sections of glass bathe the interior in natural light, seamlessly merging the inside with the outside world.
As you step into the house, you are welcomed by concrete floors and soft, muted tones. Floor to ceiling windows frame a private courtyard, flooding the space with natural light. An elegant oak staircase leads you to the main living area and kitchen on the first floor.
The first floor has large glass doors which span the entire width of the house, leading onto a spacious west facing balcony for you to enjoy your morning coffee, or evening sundowner. The sunsets here are unrivalled.
Inside, the living area has plush sofas, comfortable seating, and a widescreen TV, creating the ideal space to unwind after a day of exploring. A generous dining table, seating up to 10, transitions seamlessly into a spacious kitchen with an island and ample seating, perfect for socialising whilst cooking. The kitchen itself is very well equipped and has everything you need to cater for large groups.
Anterre has 5 generously sized bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, including an en-suite in the master bedroom. Downstairs there is a utility room, a convenient WC, a spacious wet room shower and a boot room, all accessible via the private courtyard from the side of the house. There is an additional hot shower in the courtyard for rinsing off sandy toes too.
Outside, there is a large private west-facing garden with terraces of lawns and wildflower meadows. An outdoor BBQ and dining area are perfect for eating al fresco.
Anterre welcomes dogs, and its changeovers run from Friday to Friday.
We want to draw your attention to the fact that Anterre is one of the new properties in Phase 2 and therefore adjacent to the construction of other properties. The works are near to completion but will continue through until the end of 2024. We do not expect the works to inconvenience your holiday, but we want to be fully transparent.
