Nestled on the coast next to the ever-popular Polzeath Beach and Daymer Bay, we have access to some of the most loved coastline in north Cornwall.
Popular beaches aren’t for everyone, so whether you wander down and find a spot on Greenaway beach or head slightly further afield, there are always opportunities to find your own hidden Cornish treasure.
For this episode, we ventured down to Greenaway Beach, just a 10-minute walk from Highcliffe, and spent the early summer’s day enjoying the warmth of the sun. Filled with craggy inlets, sheltered swimming spots and rock pools teeming with life, it’s a great secluded spot for the whole family.
Partially sheltered by the rocks, the sea here offers calm swimming and plenty of rock pooling opportunities for young explorers. The landscape also makes it the perfect place for anglers to set up and land their catch of the day, and the open sand is a great place for our four-legged friends! It’s a hidden spot with something for everyone.
One of our favourite ways to enjoy our local landscape is by bike. The beautiful coastline, small fishing villages and beaches are often just a hill, field or lane away.
